Breathe Carolina is an American electronic rock musical duo from Denver, Colorado, composed of David Schmitt and Kyle Even. The name of the band came from a dream that Schmitt had in high school about calming down a woman named Carolina.
Breathe Carolina recorded their first album using GarageBand, and signed with Rise Records before its release. “It's Classy, Not Classic” was issued in 2008 and peaked at #186 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and No. 4 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Their second studio album, “Hello Fascination,” was released through Fearless Records in 2009. The album went to No. 43 on the Billboard 200 while reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
“Hell Is What You Make It,” the band’s third album and second on Fearless, was released in 2011 and reached #42 on the Billboard 200 and again peaked at #2 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
