Wali Collins is a New York City-based stand-up comedian, actor, producer, and author known for his versatility across the entertainment industry. Before focusing on comedy, Collins pursued music as a drummer, performing in R&B, pop, funk, and jazz bands, and became the youngest musician to join the New England Jazz Society. After college, he initially considered a career in architecture before transitioning to show business. Collins began his stand-up career after a successful first performance that led to regular featured spots at a local club.
Collins gained national attention when he moved to New York City to host Comedy Central's "Stand-up Stand-up," a showcase for stand-up comedians. His television credits include appearances on NBC, CBS, FOX, HBO, ABC's "The View," Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd," VH1, Netflix, and Hulu. Collins was invited by David Letterman to warm up the audience for his show, which led to a stand-up performance on "The Late Show with David Letterman."
