Steven L. Giannotta, MD, is Chairman of Neurological Surgery at Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is a board-certified neurological surgeon currently serving on the faculty of Keck School of Medicine of USC. He is a practicing neurological surgeon in Los Angeles, California. In 1972, Dr. Giannotta graduated from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, where he completed his internship in surgery. Upon achievement of his medical degree, Dr. Giannotta did his residency in neurosurgery at University Hospital at University of Michigan. Dr. Giannotta joined the Department of Neurosurgery at Keck School of Medicine of USC after his board certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1980. Today he enjoys clinical affiliations with USC University Hospital, USC/Norris Cancer Hospital and USC Care Medical Group, all based in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Giannotta maintains active memberships in 20 national, regional, state and local medical organizations. He has made scholarly contributions on neurosurgery in publications such as the Journal of Neurosurgery, Operative Techniques in Neurosurgery, Operative Neurosurgical Techniques and The Practice of Neurosurgery.

It’s been highly rewarding to work with such gifted colleagues.”
