Rixton Biography
Soulful and effusive British pop/rock/R&B quartet Rixton turned heads in 2013 with their hugely successful YouTube channel, which featured the band covering hits from the likes of Taylor Swift, R. Kelly, Rita Ora, and Chris Brown. Invoking names like Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran, the group formed in Manchester in 2012 around the talents of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Jake Roche, bassist/keyboardist and backing vocalist Danny Wilkin, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Charley Bagnall, and drummer Lewi Morgan. The group made its American debut in March 2014 with the Interscope-issued Me and My Broken Heart EP, with the promise of a full-length outing to follow later in the year. In 2015, Rixton returned with their debut full-length album, Let the Road, featuring the singles "Wait on Me," and "Hotel Ceiling."
