Rasheda Kamaria Williams is an engaging and empathic speaker and social entrepreneur with a passion for helping youth and youth advocates realize their power. She is an author as well as the founder and chief empowering officer for Empowered Flower Girl, a social enterprise on a mission to transform the way young people relate to one another and themselves.
Williams has nearly 20 years’ experience in the education, non-profit and philanthropic sectors having worked with several national and global organizations and institutions.
For nearly 15 years, Williams has been laser-focused on making a difference in the lives of children and teens as a youth advocate, mentor and mentoring consultant. She is the author of “Be EmPOWERed: How to Live Above & Beyond Life’s Drama.”
Her passion and advocacy work have earned Empowered Flower Girl numerous accolades, including Kumon North America’s “Impact Award” and SASHE’s “Top 10 Companies for Women and Girls.” Williams was also named one of “29 Inspirational Female Entrepreneurs Who Are Positively Impacting the World” and featured in Exeleon Magazine as one of “15 Dynamic Entrepreneurs of 2020.” In 2021, MentHer Magazine featured Williams in its “Top 20 Social Impact Founders” list. Once teased and ostracized by classmates for being weird and different, Rasheda found a way to embrace and ultimately celebrate her “weirdness.” In 2011, Rasheda shared her story in Cosmopolitan magazine in the article “Being Bullied Changed My Life.” Her experience as an adolescent motivated her to launch Empowered Flower Girl just a year prior in 2010.
