LeToya Luckett is a singer, songwriter, and actress best known as one of the original members of the Grammy Award–winning group Destiny’s Child. Born in Houston, Texas, Luckett rose to prominence in the late 1990s as part of the R&B powerhouse, contributing to hits like "Say My Name" and "Bills, Bills, Bills." After parting ways with the group in 2000, she launched a successful solo career, with her 2006 self-titled debut album debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and featuring the platinum-selling single “Torn.” She followed it with Lady Love (2009) and Back 2 Life (2017).
