Sloan served as the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Sloan Group International from 2000 to 2022. She is also an accomplished author, having penned several influential books including "Smarter, Faster, Better" and "Lemonade: The Leaders Guide to Resilience at Work".
She also holds a rich educational background, including an MA in Clinical Psychology from the San Francisco School of Professional Psychology, a Certificate in Organizational Development and Executive Coaching from the William James Institute Center for Executive Coaching, a BA in English and Women's Studies from Mills College. Karlin spoke at the Chicago Coach Federation and I invited several colleagues and clients to attend, guaranteeing them that they would learn from her expertise, which they did! Her topic was UNFEAR, a concept she has richly developed, and her presentation was informative, inclusive and interactive. We all left feeling more aware of how fear holds us and our clients back and more empowered to make some critical shifts. She gets a 10 on my scale of 1-10 with 10 being high praise and I am very picky! Not only are her content and delivery top notch but she is also a values-centered leader whom I greatly admire. Last week I purchased five copies of Karlin's new release UNFEAR and I can't wait to read it and share it with executive coaching clients.
