Joe Mauer Biography
Joe Mauer is a retired professional baseball play for the Minnesota Twins. He was the only catcher in Major League Baseball to win 3 batting titles. He was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2024.
In retirement, he donates his time to support youth baseball programs like the Twins Rookie League and R.B.I. program. Mauer is an active member of the Minnesota Action Team, a youth volunteer initiative, and supports the renovation and building of baseball fields in the St. Paul area. And, he annually donates time and money to the Gillette Children's Hospital and hosts "Lanes for Friendship," a bowling event that benefits the Highland Friendship Club.
Mauer made his Major League Baseball debut in 2004 for the Minnesota Twins. He became one of the most watched players at the time. He took part in his first ever All-Star Game in 2006. Mauer was selected as a catcher and first baseman for Team USA in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
