Michael Hardy, known professionally as Hardy, is an American country music singer and songwriter who signed to Big Loud Records in 2018. Hardy's songwriting skills have been recognized by notable artists such as Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, and Morgan Wallen, leading to fruitful collaborations. He has released three studio albums so far: "A Rock" (2020), "The Mockingbird & the Crow" (2023), and "Quit!!" (2024), with two more albums, "Hardy (Live from Red Rocks)" and "Country! Country!" announced for future release. He has also released three collaborative mixtapes under the title "Hixtape," with "Hixtape: Vol. 3: Difftape" expected in 2024. Hardy's singles, such as "Give Heaven Some Hell", "One Beer", "Wait in the Truck", and "Truck Bed", have charted in the US and Canada, showcasing his popularity and reach.
Hardy's successful collaborations extend beyond songwriting, including features on singles by Brantley Gilbert and Dierks Bentley in 2021. He also teamed up with Nickelback for an episode of CMT Crossroads, showcasing both artists' hits. Hardy's versatility is further highlighted by his collaboration with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on a version of "Gin and Juice" and a related short film in April 2024. He also featured on "Hide My Gun" from Post Malone's album "F-1 Trillion" and co-wrote the song. His partnership with Amazon Music in March 2025 for "Hardy (Amazon Music Songline)" features re-imagined versions of his songs, indicating his ability to adapt and innovate.
