Made up of Thomas Finchum and Alex Marshall, Nashville band FINMAR prove the creative power of their friendship with each new song. Now celebrating their latest release, “In Common,” the group is poised to take over as country music’s breakout act of 2022.
With irresistible hooks and over ten million on-demand streams to date, their music showcases the duo’s crystalline vocals and pop leaning, modern country production. Self-produced and co-written by Finchum and Marshall, each song shows their distinct style and influences.
In 2020, the duo released their debut song as FINMAR: “Breakable.” A poppy, cruising ballad with a pulsing beat and soul-baring lyrics, it introduced the newcomers’ unmistakable sound. The following year, they dropped “Homegrown,” a danceable track with an eruptive chorus and funky groove. A few months later, PEOPLE premiered the band’s third offering, “If It Weren’t For You.”
Praised by Country Now, Wide Open Country, and more, FINMAR’s star continues to rise. Fueled by deep friendship and unmitigated talent, the band is a creative force brought together by fate. As Finchum puts it: “I truly believe this is what we were put on this planet to do.”
