Jon Bon Jovi's multifaceted career in music began in 1975, laying foundations with his first band, Raze. His first single, "Runaway," released in 1980, gained substantial local radio play and effectively ignited his music career. His band, Bon Jovi, was signed to Mercury Records by record executive Derek Shulman, leading to the release of their self-titled debut album in 1984. The debut album "Bon Jovi" included the hit single "Runaway" and reached the top forty on the Billboard Hot 100. The band's second album, "7800° Fahrenheit," was released in 1985 and was certified Gold by the RIAA.
Bon Jovi's accomplishments are not limited to album releases. The band has performed 2,700 concerts in 50 countries for 34 million fans, and their tours have often topped ticket sales globally. Some of their most notable tours included the "Slippery When Wet Tour" and the "This House Is Not for Sale Tour." Their dedication to their craft led to their induction into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006 and the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
