Tyler Blevins is a streamer, YouTuber, professional gamer and Internet personality known by the alias "Ninja."
Blevins, who grew to popularity on the live streaming video platform Twitch, announced on August 1, 2019, that he would be streaming exclusively on Microsoft's Mixer platform from then on. As of July of that same year, though, Blevins had been the most followed streamer on Twitch.
In 2009, he began playing "Halo 3" and became a streamer in 2011 with Justin.tv before moving to Twitch.tv. Blevins' popularity grew when he began streaming the game "Fortnight," and within six months his follower count grew by 250 percent.
Blevins has over 22 million subscribers on YouTube, and it is estimated he earns over $500,000 per month from streaming "Fortnite" thanks to the game's free-to-play business model. In 2018, he partnered with Red Bull Esports.
Blevins is also known for his philanthropic efforts, raising over $110,000 during a charity stream that was donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. During the first "Fortnite Battle Royale" Esports event in 2018, he gave away nearly $50,000 in prize money, with $2,500 going to the Alzheimer's Association. Later that year, he participated in the #Clips4Kids charity event with fellow streamers DrLupo and TimTheTatman that raised over $340,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and at E3 2018, Blevins and Marshmello won the "Fortnite Pro-Am" event, which resulted in the donation of the $1 million prize to a charity of their choice.
In 2024, Blevins revealed he was diagnosed with melanoma, a form of skin cancer, but has since announced that he was officially cancer- free following a biopsy.
