In June 2011, Edge began a job as a portable restroom cleaner for construction workers. After working this job for over a year, he became an intern and then assistant video editor for OraBrush. OraBrush is a company that sells tongue cleaners, which became famous strictly from viral marketing on YouTube. It was there that he learned to use his "out of the box" mentality and apply it to making professional Youtube videos. From then on, he brought a camera with him wherever he went.
Edge began filming everything I saw. He started a Youtube Channel and began posting videos sparingly. His first two videos were "Epic Rope Swing" and a music video for Lissa Lohner. These videos received less than 100 views, but then, Edge had an idea to make a parody video. A week after uploading it, he came up with a new idea. While at a Christmas party, Edge noticed no one was kissing under the mistletoe. He decided to put the mistletoe kissing tradition to the test on film. Over the course of four days, he filmed the prank with a small group of friends, edited it, posted the video on Youtube at midnight and then went to bed. Little did he know, this "Mistletoe Kissing Prank" video would go viral.
In its first week, "Mistletoe Kissing Prank" received 10 million views. The day he uploaded the "Mistletoe Kissing Prank" video, Edge had 9 subscribers on his YouTube channel. A few weeks later, he had more than 100,000 subscribers. Since he had an audience, he decided to start making YouTube videos regularly. Today, his channel has over 2 million subscribers.
